Rockco Shown in Action at BP Spill

My fellow elected officials and I participated in a fly over of the BP Oil Spill to survey the damage in an immediate response to the disaster.  As President of the Board of Supervisors during this travesty, myself and my fellow supervisors, civil defense, and the beach director worked quickly and efficiently to help secure funding for the economic recovery of our Mississippi Gulf Coast.

I had a hands on approach to finding ways to protect our shores, unfortunately again, top government showed its inefficiencies.  Though these issues occurred, we must move forward with future research development of plans for recovery and we ensure that this does not happen again.
