Mississippi Gulf Coast, A Certified Retirement Region signage placed by MDOT in three coastal counties
Gulfport, Mississippi (October 25, 2013) – The MS Gulf Coast Retiree Partnership worked with MDOT to place special signage in the three coastal counties designating a certified retirement region. In Harrison County, the sign is at the county line in Saucier heading south on U.S. Route 49. In the other two counties, the signs can be spotted along U.S. Route 90—heading west in Pascagoula at the Mississippi state line and east in Waveland. The Retiree Partnership is the local program responsible for retiree attraction and is sponsored by the Harrison County Development Commission.
