swips logoSupervisor Rockco has been invited to speak at the upcoming Southern Women in Public Service Leadership Conference. The conference will be held in Asheville, North Carolina Sunday March 31st - April 2nd. She will be joined by other local female leaders Mississippi State Treasurer Lynn Fitch and Supervisor Rockco's fellow NACo member Mobile County Commissioner Merceria Ludgood.

"Since the first Southern Women in Public Service conference in 1991, the Stennis Center has developed a reputation for supporting the advancement of women in public service leadership. This annual conference has become the most significant bipartisan gathering of women political leaders from across the South. The conference aims to build a stronger America through tapping more extensively into the reservoir of talent, energy, intellect and courage that women bring to council tables where important decisions are made."

wlibraryPlease join us at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 1 as we celebrate the Woolmarket Library with a ribbon cutting-ceremony and the announcement of future plans. Speakers will include Harrison County District 5 Supervisor Connie Rockco and Biloxi Mayor Andrew “FoFo” Gilich. We will have king cake and coffee following the ceremony.
